CM Shinde signs MoU with Sumeet Group and OST Inc. to launch study for emergency services project

SWITZERLAND: The Maharashtra government today signed a MoU with Sumeet Group Enterprises (India) and OST Inc. (USA) to engage in a technological feasibility study for the launch of NG 911/112 emergency services across the state in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the World Economic Forum 2023.

The project will cover the development and launch of integrated emergency communication and response services (IECRS) and smart city initiatives in Maharashtra. This will be the first project of this kind to be developed in India, where all four major platforms for police, ambulances, fire, and disaster management services will be integrated under its NG 112 Initiative.

This project will benefit more than 120 million Maharashtrians by providing the state with comprehensive emergency services with rapid response times. This landmark initiative by Maharashtra solidifies its image as the most progressive and advanced state in India. The state will move closer to its goal of a trillion-dollar economy as a result of this initiative.

SUMEET and OST are expected to propose ‘PPP’ investment models for executing this initiative across the state. The project to be developed will be an integration of technology, public infrastructure and service platforms.

Furthermore, SUMEET and OST Team will jointly suggest measures for upgradation of the technology, fleets, systems, equipments, gadgets, and facilities required to operate an effective & efficient emergency services initiative.
