MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh appeared before the Mumbai Police to record his statement in connection with the FIR registered against him for posting his nude photographs on social media on Monday morning.
The actor had appeared before the investigation officer today at 7am and his statement was recorded by 9:30am. While based on the questionnaire, he has gave a handwritten statement to police.
The Mumbai police had gone to Ranveer's house on August 12, but the actor was not home. The police had asked him to appear on August 22 for in accordance to the summons. The Simmba actor had sought an extension and was granted time till August 30.
On July 26, the Mumbai Police registered an FIR against the leading man of Jayesh Jordaar for allegedly posting nude images from his photoshoot for a New York-based tabloid on his Instagram account. The action came after the president of a city-based NGO lodged a complaint with the police.
