Apollo Jehangir Hospital saves an eight-year-old boy after he suffers from intestinal perforation

PUNE: Doctors performed a surgery to save an eight-year-old boy who fell off a bicycle. After his fall, the doctors found out that he had an intestinal rupture because he complained of an abdominal pain.

His father explained that while he fell of from cycle, the cycle's handlebar hit his stomach. Doctor did not find any significant injuries during the X- Ray. However, later on, due to his constant abdominal pain, the doctors suspected an injury in the intestine as air was leaking out of the intestine.

The exact target portion of the intestine was identified by the doctors during the procedure and a successful surgery was carried out. According to the doctors, the boy is now responding well and has shown an improvement in his health. The boy was discharged from the hospital.
