Businessman extorts woman of ₹5lakh by threatening to make viral a video clip of her rape

PUNE: The Khadak Police have registered an FIR against a businessman for allegedly attempting to extort ₹5 lakh from a woman by threatening to make viral a clip of her rape.

The accused has been identified as one Sanjay Kundanlal Parmar (57), a resident of Ghorpade Peth extortion by Khadak Police; An FIR of rape has also been registered. The victim woman has filed a complaint at the Khadak Police Station.

According to reports, the victim and the accused Parmar are acquaintances. Allegedly, Parmar trap the woman into a net and raped her. After that, he allegedly extorted ₹5lakh from the woman by threatening to make viral the clip. The woman lodged a complaint with the police.

Police Sub-Inspector Ghadge is conducting a further in-depth investigation.
