Governor courts controversy with statement about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
AURANGABAD: Maharashtra’s Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has once again made a controversial statement. Koshyari said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a role model in the olden days and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is the current role model.
Governor Koshyari was speaking at the graduation ceremony at Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. During this ceremony, NCP President Sharad Pawar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari were honoured with the DLitt degree.
During his speech, Koshyari compared Nitin Gadkari to Shivaji Maharaj and
Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Once again, the controversial statement made by the governor has brought him into the limelight.
