National Disaster Response Force retrieves body of missing official
PUNE: A complaint had been lodged at the Shirwal police station about the disappearance of State Marketing Federation Director Shashikant Ghorpade. For two days, efforts were on to trace Ghorpade on the Nira river bed. Since the local administration was not able to find him, a team of NDRF had been summoned.
The NDRF team succeeded in retrieving Ghorpade’s body from Nira river on Friday. An information was received that he was missing opposite a restaurant in the limits of Shindewadi village. However, after his body was found, questions are being raised why he committed suicide. Various theories about whether it is a murder or a suicide are being discussed.
