Param Bir Singh accused of paying ₹5 lakh for spreading sms regarding responsibility in the Antilia explosives case

MUMBAI: The message claiming responsibility for the explosive case found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's Antilia residence came from Tihar Jail. The lawyer of Riyaz Kazi, who is a co-accused in this case, gave the shocking information during the hearing in the High Court today that the former police commissioner, Param Bir Singh, had paid ₹5 lakh to the concerned person to spread this message.


Senior Advocate Abad Ponda raised several questions on behalf of Encounter Specialist Pradeep Sharma. Many things are not disclosed in the charge sheet. The public prosecutor is talking about this only during the arguments. 


The forensic report of the materials seized in the case is also not yet available. When asked in this regard, the public prosecutor has accepted this matter. Abad Ponda had drawn the court's attention in this regard, as the forensic report was still not available after a period of one year.


A bench of Justice Revati Mohite-Dere and Justice RN Laddha has asked for the CCTV footage to be produced before the bench during the hearing tomorrow after the counsel of encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma raised objections on several points in the charge sheets and argued Anil Singh on behalf of the NIA during the hearing today.
