Pune district team wins titles in the under-12 boys and girls category in the Maharashtra state sub-junior track and field championship

PUNE: The Pune district team won the under-12 boys and girls category in the Maharashtra state sub-junior track and field championship held at Kolhapur. Ishan Surwase was the best athlete in the under-12 boy’s category.


In this competition, Veer Joshilkar, Jayani Patil, and Kasturi Chavan won gold medals in their group. State-level records were created by Agreeta Melkunde (9.72 m) and Jayane Patil (9.82m) in the Shot-put event. Ishaan Survase, Shivan Khare, Surbhi Jadhav, and Ravi Rokde won silver medals, while Aaradhya Waghmare and Surbhi Jadhav won bronze medals.


Umesh Jadhav and Rinal Gaikwad were present, along with the team's coach and manager. Pune District Amateur Athletic Association President Adv. Abhay Chhajed, Secretary Sumant Waikar, Joint Secretary Gurubans Kaur, Treasurer Raju Kulkarni, and other office bearers congratulated all.
