Rain causes traffic congestion in many parts of the city
Pune: The city of Pune has received good rainfall for a long time, since the start of July. It has been raining continuously since Wednesday morning in many parts of the city. During rain, signals go for a toss, due to which people have to wait in a long queue of vehicles. Though the traffic police are trying to get control over the situation in several parts, traffic congestion is a major issue faced by citizens during the monsoon.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rains in the district. Due to the rain, the people on the way to their work had to face unnecessary trouble. Meanwhile, trees fell in various parts of the city. As a result, there were traffic jams all over the city. Due to incessant rain on one hand and falling trees on the other, the citizens of Pune have to face unnecessary traffic jams.
There were major traffic jams in the city including Katraj Chowk, Narveer Tanaji Malusare (Sinhagad) Road, New Circuit road, Mundhwa, RTO Office Chowk, near Collector's office, at Khadki, University chowk, etc.
