Supreme Court will hold hearing on political crisis, validity of state government after four weeks

NEW DELHI: The hearing on the political conflict in the state, split in Shiv Sena and disqualification of MLAs was going to take place on Tuesday under a 

five-member constitution bench headed by Justice Dr Dhananjay Chandrachud. However, the hearing will now will be held after four weeks. Justices MR Shaha,  Krishna Murari, Hima Kohli and PS Narasimha are the members of the constitution bench.



The hearing on various petitions submitted regarding the political conflict in the state was also going to be held. 



The senior leaders of Uddhav Thackeray group of Shiv Sena, Subhash Desai and Sunil Prabhu, had challenged the validity of the Shinde-Fadnavis government, after a split in Shiv Sena. Sunil Prabhu had also challenged the appointment of Bharat Gogawale as the new chief whip of Shiv Sena. He had urged the court to disqualify the MLAs who had left the Shiv Sena. Chief Minister Shinde has challenged his sacking from the post of leader of the legislative party.
