PUNE: A tragic incident of the untimely and sudden deaths of a young couple on the threshold of being married has come to light wherein the police are attempting to determine whether the untimely death of a 17-year-old girl, who allegedly fell from the fourth floor apartment in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, is murder or suicide. And in the interim they also found out that the boy with whom the deceased girl was to tie the knot also committed suicide.

According to the poluce report, the deceased girl has been identified as Asmita Parashuram Dhotre, a resident of Kharalwadi, Pimpri, died on the evening of March 14, after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Kalyani Nagar within the jurisdiction of the Yerawada Police Station. In this case, an FIR of sudden death had initially been registered at the Yerawada Police Station. 

However, after the relatives brought the body of the girl directly to the police station, the Yerawada police have registered an FIR of abetment of suicide against two people who brought her to Kalyani Nagar. 

The report states that the marriage of the dead girl had been arranged and the wedding was to take place next month.  However, information is trickling in that her future husband, Jay, also committed suicide due to the death of his wife-to-be, Asmita.  

The simultaneous deaths of the bridal couple has stunned their family and friends and a palpable tension has swept through the vicinity.
