PUNE: The traffic problem in the city is getting worse day by day. Long-term measures have been planned on 15 major roads in the city to overcome this dilemma. For that, a survey will be conducted by the Municipal Corporation, Traffic Police, PMPML, Metro, and PMRDA. In this regard, a meeting was organised at the Police Commissionerate on Tuesday.
Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar Magar, along with officials of PMPML, Mahametro, and PMRDA, Smart City, were present at this meeting. In the meeting, the traffic congestion in Pune, its solution plan, the increasing number of vehicles in the city, and the ongoing work of the metro were discussed.
To get rid of this dilemma, the authorities of all the systems will work together, and in the first phase, 15 congested roads will be selected and long-term measures will be taken. A committee will be formed for that, and a nodal officer will also be appointed to this committee.
