MUMBAI: Actress Nora Fatehi has alleged that her name was forcibly used in the ₹200 crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Fatehi says she did not have direct contact with Sukesh Chandrasekhar and has filed a ₹200 crore defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez, alleging that she has linked her name to the case by providing false information.
Two Bollywood actresses have been embriled in a face off in the money laundering case. Nora has filed a defamation case in a Delhi court against actress Jacqueline Fernandez and around 15 media companies. "Jacqueline has tried to defame me in a criminal manner," Nora has stated in her petition. Both, Jacqueline and Nora Fatehi, were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money-laundering case related to Sukesh. Nora says that she didn’t have any direct contact with Sukesh. It is claimed that she knew Sukesh through his wife, Leena Maria Paul.
Fatehi denied the fact that she took gifts from Sukesh. She emphatically stated that the media trial has spoiled her reputation. It was alleged that Sukesh gifted a BMW car worth ₹65 lakh to Nora Fatehi's brother-in-law, Bobby. Investigations revealed that Sukesh had definitely offered her a BMW, but she refused to take the car. Fatehi was suspicious of the deal from the very beginning. Sukesh constantly called her. Nora is then said to have blocked Sukesh's number. Sukesh's wife gifted a Gucci's bag to Nora at the event. Nora had told the ED during the investigation that she had met Sukesh's wife, Leena, at event.
