Accused assaults couple for not paying for an imitation mangalsutra worth ₹350, Kondhwa police registers an FIR

PUNE: An incident has come to light wherein a woman and her husband were assaulted inside their own home for not paying for an imitation mangalsutra worth only ₹350. This incident took place in Mohammedwadi. An FIR has been registered at the Kondhwa Police Station in this matter. The accused have been identified as Sandeep Ombale and Nandini Ombale. One Balaji Ramlu Gundre (46) has filed a complaint in this matter.


According to the police report, the plaintiff Balaji and his wife live on the second floor of Sandeep Ombale's house. Apparently, Gundre's wife had bought herself a costume jewellery mangalsutra worth ₹350. However, she had not paid for it. Angry because of the non-payment, the enraged accused barged into the plaintiff's home and assaulted the couple. They allegedly and shoved them against the wall and injured them.
