PUNE: It has come to light that the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Crime Branch, Pune City Police apprehended four individuals, including a woman, from Mundhwa, seizing narcotics valued at ₹46,59,000. An FIR has been registered at the Mundhwa Police Station.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sagar Vailas Bhosle (26), a resident of Kharadi, Ajitsingh Indrajitsingh Bhavaniya (40), a resident of Lohegaon Road, Imrareen Gary Green (37), a resident of Dhanori.
According to police information, while patrolling the area, a team of the ANC of the Crime Branch received confidential information that two people were coming to sell drugs in the Lonkar Wasti area of Mundhwa. Based on the information, the team laid a trap for the drug peddlers and detained a woman and Bhosale with 208.950 Mg Mephedrone and 5.550 mg Cocaine worth ₹44 11 lakhs on their person. The duo has been remanded to police custody till August 18.
During the course of the investigation, it was learnt that the duo had procured the narcotics from Bhavaniya. Accordingly, the police arrested Bhavania and Green with 4 grams of Cocaine and 61 grams of Charas worth ₹2.48 lakhs.
All the accused are under the jurisdiction of the Mundhwa police for extended inquiries.
