PUNE: A terrifying incident has come to light wherein an attempt was made to molest a young woman travelling by an autorickshaw.  In this matter, an FIR has been registered against the autorickshaw driver at Chhatushringi Police Station. This incident took place on Thursday evening between 5pm and 6pm while the girl was travelling from MIT Kothrud to the Pune University.

The accused autorickshaw driver has been identified as Sachin. An FIR has been registered against him. An 18-year-old girl has filed a complaint in this matter.  

As per the police report, the young lady is a native of West Bengal, and was en route to the Savitribai Phule Pune University from MIT College, Kothrud in the autorickshaw of the accused. Allegedly, the autorickshaw driver molested her by grabbing her hand and putting his hand inside her shirt. He stopped the autorickshaw at the Pune University, and reached out for her and tried to kiss her cheek by leaning into her. Shoving him away, the young woman immediately alighted from the autorickshaw   That's when he forcibly snatched her mobilephone and saved her number on his own device. Keeping her head, the he terrified girl immediately lodged a complaint with the police.
