BJP's Ashwini Jagtap leads after round 15 in the Chinchwad constituency bypolls

PIMPRI: In the Chinchwad Assembly by-elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ashwini Jagtap is leading and has secured a lead of 8,482 votes. Many branches of NCP have a few steps back. 


Jagtap procured 49,079 votes, while Nana Kate received 40,766 votes and independent candidate Rahul Kalate got 15,017 votes.

 

The seat of the Chinchwad Assembly

was vacant due to the untimely demise of former MLA Laxman Jagtap. BJP nominated his wife Ashwini Jagtap to contest the Chinchwad constituency bypolls.
