Bus catches fire near Saptashrungi Hill, no loss of life; Truck carrying cylinders overturns, leads to huge explosion

NASHIK: Three shocking incidents took place in Nashik district on Saturday. After the incident in which a bus caught fire on Nashik-Aurangabad road, a bus belonging to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) going to Saptashrungi Hill, caught fire. Later, a truck carrying gas cylinders overturned near Manmad leading to a huge explosion. Cylinders in the truck flew into the air after the truck caught fire. Fortunately, there was no loss of life. 

A tyre of a truck carrying hydrogen cylinders burst on Manmad-Malegaon road near Kanadgaon in Chandwad taluka. The truck overturned and fell into a nala. There were 200 cylinders which were filled with gas in the truck. After the truck caught fire, the burning cylinders flew into the air. The traffic on the Pune-Indore highway had been stopped two kilometres before the mishap spot. This led to a huge traffic jam.

There was another accident on Nashik-Aurangabad road in the morning in which 12 people were killed. Later, the incident took place where a MSRTC bus caught fire on the road going to Saptashrungi Hill.
