Employees carry out march demanding the implementation of the old pension scheme

PUNE: All the government and semi-government teaching and non-teaching staff employees of the state have been on strike for the last four days, demanding the implementation of the old pension scheme. Today, a march was held on behalf of all the employees in Pune, which was carried out from Zilla Parishad to the Collector's office. A large number of employees were present for this march.

 

Employees on strike added that, "We have been on strike for the past four days, and we'll keep going until the government provides us with a written assurance. We have been battling for this continuously since 2005, but the administration is not paying attention to our request. As a result, we have called for an indefinite strike to get the old pension scheme implemented''.
