Investigation reveals fish died due to the release of sewage water being drained into the Jambulwadi Lake
PUNE: It has come to light that the fish died due to the release of water from the drainage line in the Jambhulwadi lake in Pune. The inspection of this lake was carried out by the municipal officers of the Irrigation Department and the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. However, the social activists have pointed out to the administration that despite the inspection, the sewage line is still being routed into the Jambhulwadi lake. Due to this the fish have died. All this was revealed by social activists Nilesh Mazire, Santosh Sathe.
Even though the administration has only done an inspection, the water from the drainage line is still coming into the lake. A warning was given that this water should be shut off otherwise there will be agitation.
