PUNE: An incident has come to the fore wherein a person impersonating a police officer visited a massage centre and demanded an extortion of ₹1.50 lakhs. An FIR has been registered at the Sahakar Nagar Police Station in the case of extortion. This incident took place on Thursday around 12 noon.
The accused has been identified as Ajit Madhukar Wale (27), a resident of Sasane Nagar, Hadapsar. One Vishwajit Mahadev Kale (24), a resident of Ambegaon has filed a complaint in this matter.
According to the police, a person, claiming to be a police officer, visited the Majestic Massage Centre at Dhankawadi on Satara Road, Pune. Once there, he claimed
that he had proof that a prostitution racket wayy being run under the aegis of a massage centre. Then he proceeded to claim that the masseuses were prostitutes the centre and grabbed ay masseuse standing nearby, fondled her and thereby he molested her.
He then extorted the management for a ransom of ₹1.50 lakhs in exchange of not filing a police report.
