PUNE: The work related to railway doubling (the process of expanding a single track to double track is called doubling) will be undertaken between Walhe and Neera stations on the Pune-Satara railway line. Therefore, the Diesel Electric Multiple Units (DEMU) trains running between Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyna Express and Pune-Satara will be cancelled on October 20.
The Pune Division of Central Railway has also Informed that the train on the Pune-Phaltan and Pune-Lonand routes will be cancelled on October 23, as well.
The Kolhapur-Gondia Maharashtra Express was scheduled to depart from Kolhapur on October 20, at 7pm was announced as cancelled today (October 19). Some trains will be partially cancelled along the Pune-Satara route.
On October 23, the Pune-Kolhapur Express that is scheduled to run between Kolhapur-Satara will be cancelled between Satara and Pune. The Hubli-Dadar Express, which was to depart from Hubli on October 23, will now run on the changed Miraj-Kurduwadi route. Therefore, this train will not stop at Sangli and Karad stations.
