Pune Metro does not receive power supply from Mahavitran, Metro service stopped due to internal system failure

PUNE: It has come to light that the service on Vanaz to Ruby Hall Clinic route was interrupted for 20 minutes due to power supply interruption of the newly-started Pune Metro.

However,  following a round of criticism from all quarters, a clarification has been issued by Mahavitran that Mahavitran is not responsible in any way for this and has nothing to do with the power supply of the Pune Metro.

The fact is that Pune Mahametro is supplied with 132 KV power from Mahapareshan (MSETCL) and not from Mahavitaran (MSEDCL). According to the senior officials of Mahapareshan, on Monday evening, the maintenance and repair work of the power system at Range Hills Ultra High Voltage 132 KV Substation was started by the Pune Metro. During that time, due to a technical failure in the metro's internal power system, the power supply of the metro service was switched off for 20 minutes.

However, Mahavitran and Mahapareshan Company has no relation with this type. Contrary to belief, the Pune Metro service was halted for 20 minutes due to a fault in their internal power system of the metro.
