Sandeep Agarwal and Sasikala Agarwal, co-partners, M/s Vedanta Landmark, defraud homeowner with non -possession of flat, Kondhwa Police registers an FIR (CR No. 286/23) of fraud against the prominent constro outfit

PUNE: An incident of fraud has come to light wherein a prominent builder duo allegedly cheated a homeowner of his flat by collecting a total amount of ₹30.90 lakhs over a course of time without handing him the possession of his flat. Due to which, an FIR under sections 8, 9, 13 of IPC 406, 409, 417, 418, 34 MOFA has been registered at the Kondhwa Police Station against Sandeep Agarwal and Sasikala Agarwal, a resident of Koregaon Park, partners of M/s Vedant Landmark, a renowned construction company in Pune (CR No. 286/  23) has been filed. This incident took place between April 3,2017 and to date at the Kingston Athletics in Mohammadwadi.


Prashant Digambar Bhalerao, a resident of Versova, Kiran Society, Andheri (West), Mumbai has filed a complaint in this matter.  


According to the police, Sandeep Agarwal and Sasikala Agarwal, partners of M/s Vedanta Landmark conspired and informed the complainant Bhalerao that Flat Number 605 in the Kingston Atlantics site was on sale. In that light, Bhalerao's co-secondary registrar made an agreement in the office and an amount to the tune of ₹30.90 lakhs was accepted from him from time to time.  However, it has been mentioned in the complaint that the possession of the flat was not handed over as per the agreement.


Fed up, Bhalerao filed a complaint in the court in this matter. The court had ordered to register the case under CrPC 155/3. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR.
