PUNE: an incident has come to light wherein a senior citizen was extorted out of ₹4.66 lakhs through sextortion by forcing the senior citizen to  make a nude video call.  In this regard, an FIR has been registered against unknown mobile phone holders in Chhatuwhringi Police Station.  A 64-year-old senior citizen has filed a complaint in this regard. This crime took place between March between March 21, 2023 and March 25, 2023.

According to the police, accused mobile phone holders called this senior citizen through a WhatsApp call. They enticed their sexual feelings by chatting and video calling. The accused showed the victim pornographic videos and lured them to become naked. He was then threatened to record their video call and make the video viral. Also, some of these accused impersonated the police and threatened to post this video on YouTube.  Along with this, ₹4.66 lakhs was taken from him to delete this video. 

 A complaint was filed with the cyber police in this regard and an FIR has been registered.
