Stray dogs attack 12-year-old boy, the attack grievously injures him as bicycle handle pierces stomach, lacerates intestines, breaks an arm, fear engulfs neighbourhood

PUNE: A gruesome incident has come to the fore wherein a 12-year-old, little boy who was riding his bicycle was attacked by stray dogs. During this incident, the 12-year-old was grievously injured as the bicycle handle pierced his stomach and lacerated his intestines. The incident took place on Thursday morning in the Dhayari area on Sinhagad road. Currently, the little boy is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.


The injured boy has been identified as Arjun Supekar (12). As per reports, little Arjun was riding his bicycle in Lane No. 23B at Ganesh Nagar in Dhayari, when he was attacked by stray dogs. In stark terror, the little boy toppled off his bicycle and the handle of the bicycle pierced his stomach and severely lacerated and tore his intestines, which began to protrude from his stomach. 


Arjun was immediately rushed in an ambulance to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital. Where surgery was performed on his stomach. It was also reported that the little boy had broken his arm too.  


When his neighbours found out about the extent of his injuries, an atmosphere of fear seems to have permeated the neighbourhood and once again the issue of stray dogs menace has reared its ugly head. 


What will the PMC do? Only time will tell...
