PUNE: Former Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kirit Somaiya has made serious allegations against the former Pune Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta. He said that the former Pune Commissioner of Police was the house commissioner of Sharad Pawar. He is the one who kidnapped Rakesh Bavdhan.  There was an attack on my life too.

On February 5, 2022, the former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kirit Somaiya was allegedly attacked by Shiv Sainiks in the hallowed precinct of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). During the attack, there was no investigation conducted by the former Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta. I even met him, " Somaiya recalled. 

He further added, "In the last few months, there has been a lot of progress in this investigation. So far, 28 goons of the Uddhav Thackeray Sena have been identified. The police are looking for seven more of the accused. The action will be taken soon against these goons of Uddhav Thackeray," Somaiya promised.
