PUNE: A shocking incident has come to light in Pimpri Chinchwad, wherein a minor girl was sexually assaulted. Later, her parents were threatened by making obscene photos of the girl go viral, and a sum of ₹ 5,000 was extorted from them. He also sent obscene photos of the girl to his mother. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Hinjewadi police station between February 28 and March 15, 2023.

The police have registered an FIR against Roshan Kailas Chavan (25), after the minor's mother lodged a complaint with the Hinjewadi police in this case. The incident had created a stir in the Hinjewadi area.

As per the information provided by the police, the plaintiff’s daughter and the accused were in a long-term relationship. The accused took obscene pictures of the girl on his mobile. The accused then started demanding money from the girl's mother. He also threatened the girl's parents that he would make his daughter's photos viral on social media if they didn’t pay the money.

The girl's parents sent ₹ 5,000 to the accused online to avoid defamation of their daughter. After taking the money, the accused sent obscene pictures of the girl to her mother’s phone. They rushed to the Hinjewadi police station and narrated the entire incident. The Hinjewadi police have registered an FIR against the youth, and further action is being taken in this case.
