PUNE: Under the aegis of the Samast Manjarkar, the residents of Manjari have embarked on a chain hunger strike to protest against the delay to start work on the flyover which has been lying inoperative for more than five years. Their demand is that the authorities complete it immediately.

The residents have warned that if the government does not take cognizance of their demand, the protestors will intensify their protest.

For the unversed, due to the pending work of the bridge, the residents have been facing a very serious traffic problem. The work of the flyover that was undertaken during the timeline between 2014 and 2019 has not been completed till date, however, the government officials and the administration have been consistently doling out dates after dates and the situation remains the same. Naturally, the residents are justifiably upset.

Amongst a host of dignitaries present during the protest were Ajit Dattatray Ghule, Nilesh a.k.a. Bunty Ghule, Sanjay Aba Ghule, Rohit Takle, Sanjay Ghule, Nilesh Badde, Sambhaji Ghule, Shailesh Ghule, Vinay Ghule, Bala Gavane, Sahebrao Ghule, Yuvraj Raskar, Vitthal Pawar,  Shashikant Ghule, Vijay Gavane, Sudhir Anna Ghule, Santosh Ghule, Pramod Chandilakar, Tushar Ghule, Mayur Ghule, Ravindra Gogawle, Sagar Battale, Khalse Mama, Prashant Ghule, and Rahul Ghule.
