PUNE: The officials of the Income Tax Department have started raids on the office of a prominent builder in Pune along with various business companies related to him from Wednesday morning. Sources in the Income Tax Department informed that an investigation into the financial transactions and tax evasion of this company has been started and many documents and files have been seized.  

The official also informed that around 30 teams of the Income Tax Department are working at different places in Pune. According to the information received from the Income Tax Department, it is reported that the Income Tax Department has raided Nyati Group, a construction company.  An investigation has been initiated.by some teams of the Income Tax Department who also entered the renowned Corinthians Resort and Club at NIBM Road since early morning. 

Along with this, a preliminary information has been received that inquiry has also been started against Viraj Steel in the steel business and Choice Group at Viman Nagar.  

However, the media has not received any information or explanation from the concerned companies in this matter and efforts are being made to contact them.
