PUNE: A horrifying multiple-vehicle accident took place on Sunday evening at the Undri Chowk leading to NIBM Road in Kondhwa, Pune when the brakes of a luxury travel bus malfunctioned and the driver lost control of the bus and rear-ended into six vehicles. During this accident, two people died on the spot and four people were grievously injured.

The vehicles involved in the accident are an autorickshaw, a tempo truck, a two-wheeler, two cars, and another four-wheeler. The injured were rushed to a nearby private hospital.

According to police information, a private bus was plying on the NIBM road in Kondhwa area on Sunday evening, when suddenly the brakes of the bus failed. Due to which, the bus literally rammed into the vehicles in front of it and triggered a chain reaction of a massively fatal fender-bender situation.  

There were two on the spot fatalities during this accident, while four others received grievous injuries and were rushed to a local hospital in the area for treatment. Needless to add, the accident resulted in a massive traffic jam on the NIBM road.  

As soon as the police received information about the incident, they rushed to the spot and pitched into clearing the traffic and moving the victims to the hospital.
