Income Tax Department raids Aniruddha Deshpande, Managing Director, City Corporation Ltd, promoter of Amanora Township
PUNE: Aniruddha Deshpande, Chairman, Citigroup and Surveyor, Amanora Township in Pune, was raided by the Income Tax Department on Wednesday morning. Sources informed that the raids on his house and office began early in the morning.
As per sources, an investigation is also being carried out at Deshpande's office and at his home and other key places. Furthermore, the sources informed that the investigation is being conducted on the suspicion of financial misappropriation. Due to the Income Tax department's raid on Deshpande, who is a leading entrepreneur in Pune, there has been an uproar in Pune's business community.
For the unversed, Deshpande has always maintained a cordial and close association with big politicians of the state.
