Pune airport to get 14 flight slots for civil air traffic
PUNE: Pune will soon get direct air connectivity with Singapore and air connections with two other Asian countries. Currently, the city has direct connectivity to only one international destination, Dubai.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Shinde informed that additional 14 flight slots have been made available for civil operations from Pune airport.
He said that flight slots will now be available at 116 on other days of the week and 145 on weekends. Being a civilian enclave, the city demanded eight additional slots from the Ministry of Defence. I spoke to Rajnath Singhji and we have been given 14 slots per day instead of eight.
