Regional Transport Offices in Pune announce the issuance of upgraded smart cards for vehicle owners from July 1

PUNE: It has come to light that in a bid to streamline services and provide better quality documentation to Puneites, the local Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in Pune have announced the issuance of upgraded smart cards for vehicle owners.

Come July 1, Puneites will be able to obtain the new smart cards, which are set to replace the existing ones. This development comes as a relief to thousands of vehicle owners in Maharashtra who have been eagerly awaiting their new RC  (Registration Certificate) books and permanent licenses.

The state transport department has taken measures to expedite the production of smart cards. They have planned to print approximately 45,000 smart cards daily, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for the issuance of new RC books and permanent licenses.
