"The water supply to the affected villages should be restored without a shutdown on Thursday!" demands NCP MP Supriya Sule

PUNE: In order to save water, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to shut down the water supply of the entire Pune city every Thursday. If this is done, then the suburbs, which are already supplied with water only during the day will have to suffer more.

Keeping this problem in mind, NCP MP Supriya Sule has demanded that the water supply of newly included villages in the PMC should be restored without stopping the water supply.

MP Sule has sent a letter in this regard to Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar and has also tweeted about the same. The newly included villages such as Dhayari, Narhe, Nandoshi, Sanas Nagar to name just a few within the PMC are currently receiving water supply day by day. In this manner, the PMC has issued a schedule and has mentioned that it will stop the water supply every Thursday.

Sule tweeted: "This is a disturbing matter for the citizens. The citizens are puzzled as there is already no regular water supply in the affected villages.  If the water supply is stopped for one day in a week, the citizens will have to suffer even more." Therefore, she has demanded that the water supply should be continued for the convenience of the citizens of the affected villages.
