PUNE: A startling fact has come to light that there are about 19,500 registered cooperative housing societies in the city. About 2,000 of these associations have been transferred by the deemed conveyance developer.  In addition, 40 percent of the 17,500 establishments have been transferred.  The Cooperative Housing Department has been trying to transfer the remaining 10,500 associations.

This information was revealed at the meeting of the district level committee formed regarding the humane transfer case was held in the Collectorate office under the chairmanship of Additional Collector Ajay More.  

Housing societies apply to the Talathi or Municipal Land Survey Officer for registration on the 7/12 or property documents based on the registered deed. In this case, it is not necessary to give notice again to the persons concerned with such property before recording and issuing the alteration entry from the Revenue Department. Additional Collector Ajay More assured that instructions will be given to all concerned.
