Traffic to Bhide bridge shut for three months, traffic to be rerouted for metro bridge work

PUNE: The pedestrian bridge work is going to begin in the Deccan Gymkhana metro station area. In order for that to take place, the traffic in the Deccan area has been rerouted with effect from Tuesday.  


The traffic from Deccan Gymkhana PMP Bus Stop to Bhide Bridge has been shut down. This change is going to be in effect till November 14. Deputy Commissioner (Transport) Rahul Srirame has appealed to motorists to adopt alternative routes.


The alternative routes offered are as follows: Deccan Gymkhana PMP Station, Garware Bridge, Khandojibaba Chowk, Tilak Chowk, Kelkar Road for motorists to reach their destination.  


Motorists proceeding towards Bhide Bridge from Jungli Maharaj Road should adopt the Kakasaheb Gadgil Bridge (Z Bridge) route to reach their destination.  


Commuters travelling towards Jungli Maharaj Road from Bhide Bridge will now have turn right from Bhide Bridge and proceed towards Jungli Maharaj Road in front of Hotel Sukanta.
