Two year-old dies after drowning in a swimming pool in a bungalow in Lonavala

LONAVALA: A two-year-old girl died after drowning in a swimming pool in a bungalow in the Lonavala area. The name of the deceased girl is Haniyazaira Mohammaddin Sayyed. This is the third such incident in the last six months.

The Sayyed family and their relatives had come to Lonavala for a family outing. They had taken Carnival Villa, a bungalow on lease in the Presley Hill area of Lonavala. On Sunday morning, the Sayyed family was having breakfast in the bungalow. At that time, a scream was heard from the swimming pool area of the bungalow. When they went to the swimming pool, Haniyazaira was found lying in the pool water. She was immediately taken out of the water and admitted to a private hospital. Doctors said she died before treatment.
