PUNE: Just yesterday, DCN reported that after being stopped by the traffic police, a young man preparing for the MPSC exam started protesting by lying down on the road. The traffic policeman, along with a police sub-inspector, have come under fire from the police commissioner. The Police Commissioner, Amitabh Gupta, has started an investigation on the account of these two. The young man was forcibly transferred to the traffic control room.

This young man from Yavatmal, who was studying for the competitive examination, had left for the village for a vacation. The young man was stopped by police officers at Tilak Chowk. There was an argument between them. So the young man started protesting against the police by lying down on the street and studying. This incident was reported by DCN. Taking cognizance of this, Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta ordered a search operation. Accordingly, an investigation is underway and action has been taken.
