PUNE: Vistadome coach, which gives passengers travelling through railway an extraordinary experience is now available on the Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express. This is the fifth train from the Central Railway to have a vistadome coach. 

The Indian Railways Central Railway's vistadome coach has received huge response from people. As the infrastructure of the coach allows passengers to partake an eyeful of scenic moments of mountains, rivers, waterfalls... on their routes. 

The Ministry of Railways tweeted: "The addition of  the Vistadome Coach on the Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express will enable passengers to explore the magnificent splendour that this route has to offer, owing to Vistadome’s unique and extraordinary features curated especially for an enhanced travelling experience."

The newly-added vistadome coach in Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express will allow its passengers to enjoy the Ujni backwaters and dam near Bhigwan, where various species of migratory birds are seen and the scenic beauty of Ananthagiri Hills near Vikarabad.

The first vistadome coach was attached  to Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express in 2018, then to Mumbai-Pune Deccan from June 16, 2021. As the coach was gaining popularity, on August 15, 2021, a coach was added to the Deccan Queen and on July 25, 2022 the fourth vistadome coach was attached to the Pragati Express.
