CHANDIGARH: After massive protests broke out in Chandigarh University over the leaking of videos of girl students while they were taking a shower, a youth who leaked the videos, was detained by Himachal Pradesh police after a request from the Punjab police. The Punjab police reached Rohru in Shimla district and arrested the accused. He is believed to be the companion of the girl who is also an accused in the case.

The accused has been identified as Sunny Mehta (23). The police found out about him after the girl informed the Punjab police about him. He was in custody of Rohru police and later, was handed over to the Punjab police for further investigation.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ordered a probe into the entire video leak case. "Daughters are pride and dignity of Punjab,’’ he said. People should not be carried away by rumours as a proper investigation will be done, he added.
