Brake failure leads to Shivshahi bus crashing into trees on the footpath at Yerawada, fortunately, zero casualties were reported
PUNE: An incident has come to light wherein a Shivshahi bus met with an accident in Yerawada after its brakes suddenly failed to engage. The said accident took place around 7am on Friday, The brake failure led to the vehicle crashing into the trees along the footpath.
The accident led to a huge traffic jam on the Sangamwadi-Yerawada road. Fortunately, no one was injured in the acaccident. However, the front portion of the bus and three trees on the pavement were severely damaged as the bus suddenly careened into the pavement.
As soon as the police, fire brigade, traffic staff and officers and staff of the transport department received information about the accident, they rushed to the spot.
At the time of filing this report, on behalf of the Pune Municipal Park Department, the work of removing the trees from beneath the bus carriage is being carried out.
