Two actors steal from their co-actors while en route to a Marathi movie

PUNE: An incident has come to light wherein two accused robbed their co-stars while they were en route to shoot for a movie. This incident took place on BT Kawade Road and has been captured on a CCTV camera.

 

The accused have been identified as Swapnil Dada Kotwal (23), a resident of Hadapsar, Pune, and Mahesh Baban Gajesingh (29), a resident of Mundhwa, Pune.

 

According to the police information, the co-actor has lodged a complaint against the accused at Wanoworie police station. The plaintiff and two of his co-actors were en route to Mumbai for the shooting of a Marathi film. Around 4 a.m., they were waiting for the bus at B.T. Kawde Road in the vicinity of Ghorpadi. The co-stars were drinking tea at a nearby kiosk. At that time, accused Kotwal and Gaje Singh came there and threatened the three co-stars with sharp weapons. The accused then stole ₹19,000 cash and mobile phones from them.

 

Later, when an FIR was registered, police launched a thorough investigation. The police checked CCTV footage for investigation and nabbed accused Kotwal and Gaje Singh through CCTV footage and technical investigation.
