7-year-old girl killed as car hits two-wheeler in Kharadi

PUNE: A seven-year-old girl who was riding pillion with her father on a two-wheeler, was killed when a car hit the two-wheeler in Kharadi. The Chandan Nagar police have arrested the car owner who is a software engineer.

The deceased has been identified as Riya Umesh Pawar (7). Amitkumar Sanjay Pradhan (41), a resident of Kumar Periwinkle Society, Kharadi has been arrested. Riya’s father Umesh Bandu Pawar (39) has lodged a complaint. Amitkumar works in an IT company located in Magarpatta City.

Umesh was riding a two-wheeler along with his daughter in Kharadi. At Sitaladevi Chowk, Amitkumar’s car hit Umesh’s two-wheeler. Ria, who was seriously injured, was taken to a hospital but she was declared as brought dead.
