Angry youth kills cousin with sharp weapon after her parents reject his marriage proposal
PUNE: A girl was killed by her cousin over a love affair in Aundh. On Wednesday, at 3 pm, a youth assaulted a girl with a sharp weapon. The deceased has been identified as Shweta Ranvade (22), a resident of Aundh. An FIR has been registered against Prateek Dhumal. The murder took place after the girl’s parents refused to accept his marriage proposal.
According to the police, Shweta Ranvade stayed in Siddharth Nagar area of Aundh. She and Prateek had a row over a love affair on Wednesday. Later, Prateek took out a sharp weapon and attacked her. He is absconding after attacking the girl. The girl, who was lying in a pool of blood, was taken to a nearby hospital but the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
