Anti-Narcotics Cell arrests police constable’s son, aide for selling drugs

PUNE: The son of a police constable and his aide have been arrested by the police for selling drugs. Drugs worth ₹2.25 lakh have been seized from them. The action was taken at Maulana Abul Kalam Chowk. 



The accused have been identified as Vishal Nandkumar Shinde (41), a resident of Khadak police line and Juniad Afzal Khan (35), a resident of Raviwar Peth. Vishal Shinde’s father is working with the city police. 



PI Vinayak Gaikwad and API Shailaja Jankar of the Anti-Narcotics Cell were patrolling when they got a tip that Vishal and Junaid were going to arrive in the area to sell drugs. They laid a trap and arrested them. The police seized Mephedrone, two-wheeler and two mobiles totally worth ₹2.25 lakh.



The action was carried out a team of police officials including policemen Manojkumar Salunke, Vishal Dalvi, Pandurang Pawar, Sandip Shirke, Rahul Joshi, Pravin Uttekar, Maruti Pardhi, Sachin Malve, Sandesh Kakde, Rehana Shaikh, Nitesh Jadhav and Yogesh Mohite.
