Crime Branch of Pune Police arrests six autorickshaw thieves

PUNE: Thieves stealing autorickshaws from different parts of the city have been arrested by the crime branch and six autorickshaws were seized from the arrested accused.  


The arrested accused have been identified as Shadab Yusuf Ansari (21), Aqeel Hameed Chaudhary (38) — both of Syed Nagar, Hadapsar. The autorickshaws were stolen from Khadki, Dattawadi, Katraj and Kondhwa.  


In this case, FIRs were registered in different police stations. Apparently, Police personnel Dnyaneshwar Chitte and Satish Katrale received information from their sources that the autoricshaw thieves had stopped at Aundh.  Accordingly, the police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.  


The investigation revealed that the duo had stolen six autorickshaws from different parts of the city. The Khadki court has ordered to keep both arrested accused in police custody. 


Police Inspector Anita More, Sub-Inspector Ajit Kumar Patil, Santosh Kshirsagar, Ramdas Gonete were a part of this takedown.
