Crime Branch of the Pune Police arrests six milk traders for using a lactation drug Oxytocin to increase the milk of their livestock

PUNE: Six milk traders were arrested in a raid on a farm in the Pune district for using a lactation drug called Oxytocin to increase the milk of their livestock. 


The arrested accused have been identified as

Vithal Bhiwaji Jijurde (48), a resident of Pimple Saudagar, Sagar Kailas Chete (35), a resident of Alandi Rasta Moshi, Sunil Malku Naik (40), a resident of Dhanori, Ganesh Shankar Pailwan (50), a resident of Gultekdi, Mahadu and Namdev Parade (51), a resident of Dighi.


The Crime Branch had received information that they were attempting to increase the milk of the livestock by drugging them with a lactation drug called Oxytocin. 


Accordingly, a team composed of Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, Assistant Police Inspector Laxman Dhegle, personnel Sujit Wadekar, Pandurang Pawar, Maruti Pardhi and Praveen Utekar raided and arrested the six accused.
