Man stabs and robs young man near Pune Municipal Corporation

PUNE: The Shivaji Nagar Police has arrested a man for stabbing a young man with a sharp weapon and robbing him of ₹18,000. In the meanwhile, his accomplice is on the lam. The arrested person has been identified as Akshay Ganesh Shinde (23), a resident of Deccan. While a complaint has been filed by one Ram Khatka (22), a resident of Chatushhrungi. Apparently, Khatka had left the Pune Municipal Corporation area around midnight, yesterday. It was around that time, Shinde and his accomplice intercepted him and attacked him. They then proceeded to rob him of ₹18,000.  


Assistant Police Inspector Bholenath Ahivale is conducting a further in-depth investigation of the case.
