Now, police inspectors to be punished if policemen are held accepting bribes

PUNE: Now, police inspectors of concerned police stations will be punished if policemen are caught accepting bribes. Since two APIs were arrested, the police commissioner has taken action against police inspector of Kondhwa police station.



Senior PI Sardar Patil has been attached to the police control room for seven days. The ACB has registered an FIR against an API of Kondhwa police station for seeking a bribe of ₹2 lakh. Earlier, an FIR was registered against a woman API of the same police station. Since two incidents have taken place, the senior PI has been punished.
